I had a dream for my son Varun to go to Gurukul.

I had a dream for my son Varun to go to Gurukul. I did not know when and how it will become a reality.
11-August,2021, Gadadharji’s dream – “Rishi Vatika Gurukul” becomes reality and so is my dream.
Varun as a child, would always play near me, and would not leave me for even a minute. There were
more chances of failure than success in gurukul journey.
From admission process, to travel to Bharat, to his transition from top school of USA to gurukulam,
everything was extremely emotionally challenging for Varun and me. I am so grateful to the Rishi Vatika
Gurukul’s founder and Grand parents – Shree Raju ji & Shantarani ji, their son and daughters – Gadadhar
ji, Uma ji, Mahalaxmi ji, Padmaja ji. They understood what Varun is going through. They handled this
delicate situation very skillfully and sensibly. My son survived the most challenging transition of his life.
I will always be grateful to the whole family including all Aacharya gana – Rakesh ji, Gayatri ji, Ravi ji,
Radharani ji and everyone at gurukul.
Being a first batch student, today Varun is in his 3 rd year in Rishi Vatika Gurukul. I have noticed a
remarkable transformation in him. The positive impact of his Gurukul experience has been truly
inspiring.
First and foremost, Varun has become more self-assured and self-reliant. He has learned to take
responsibility for his daily chores and take care of his personal needs independently. He has learned to
welcome guests, help in the kitchen and serve food. It's heartening to see how he has grown in his
ability to manage his time and organize his tasks effectively.
Varun is progressing in Sanskrit and other subjects. Acharyas are paying personalized attention for him
to understand and learn the subjects that he is passionate about. He has started asking questions,
discussing ideas, and presenting his thoughts.
But it's not just about academics. Varun is also developing appreciation for music and nature. He is
learning Tabla and Indian classical Carnatic music. He is very interested in Mallakhamba. I was so
impressed with his amazing accomplishment – “Human Pyramid”.
Rishi Vatika gurukul’s strong sense of community has further enriched Varun’s life. His ability to forge
meaningful friendships, resolve conflicts amicably, and collaborate effectively with others has been
remarkable. These interpersonal skills are not just essential for his current life but will also serve him
well in his future endeavors.
It comforts my heart seeing Aacharya Ravi ji sharing value driven stories from Bhagvad gita and other
scriptures. Matru shree Gayatri ji, in her sweet, gentle, firm but soothing tone, trains kids in music and
other subjects. Rakesh ji is always full of energy and enthusiasm, willing and available to respond to
queries in a timely manner.
As a parent, it fills my heart with immense pride and joy to see my son's growth in this nurturing
educational environment. I look forward to his continued journey of growth and development at this
exceptional gurukulam.
